Bissamcuttack (PR) In a unique initiative aligned with the goals of Prime Minister Narendra Modis landmark and people-oriented scheme, Pradhan Mantri Janaman, the Rayagada District Administration, Odishas first privately owned government institution, today launched a novel initiative to provide services to particularly affected tribal at their doorsteps.
Under the direct supervision of Rayagada District Magistrate, Mr. Ashutosh Kulkarni, the program was successfully inaugurated in Kurli Panchayat of Niyamgiri in Bissamcuttack Block.
At the joint initiative of Bissamcuttack Block Development Officer Shiv Patnaik and Assistant Engineer Shagahi Tripathi, the Door-to-Door program began implementation today from Khambesi village in Niyamgiri. Through this initiative, an effort has been made to deliver pensions to beneficiaries living in PVTG Panchayats under the Bissamcuttack Panchayat Samiti office, right at their homes. It is expected to directly impact the lives of hundreds of beneficiaries in Niyamgiri.
This initiative is not merely a matter of responsibility or a vision, but rather a very serious approach by the administration. The effort has been made to deliver pensions to beneficiaries in the PVTG area through specially designed envelopes bearing photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
While the pension amount under the NSP scheme is transferred directly to the beneficiarys account through DBT, beneficiaries under the Madhubabu Pension Yojana (MBPY) have to receive it from the nearest Gram Panchayat. Geographically, beneficiaries had to travel miles through difficult hills and forests to reach the nearest Panchayat. But with this application, the Bissamcuttack Block Administration has pioneered the home delivery of pensions to beneficiaries in the Niyamgiri area.
District Magistrate Ashutosh Kulkarni said, This is not just about distributing allowances, but an effort to administer with and for the public, and to deliver services to the last person in society, and Rayagada district has taken a significant step in this direction.
Through this door-to-door administration program, 520 beneficiaries from Kurli Panchayat, 3 from Kurma village in Kankubari, 280 from Chanchadaguda, and 284 from Daliyakuji Gram Panchayat, totaling over 1,117 beneficiaries from these four PVTG Panchayats, will benefit from this scheme, said Bissamcuttack BDO Shiv Patnaik.
This initiative is necessary for the people of our area, and Sarpanch Suvardhini Vadka expressed her gratitude to the district and block administration for making it a reality. This application is said to have brought new hope and enthusiasm to the lives of people living in remote areas of the Niyamgiri mountain range. The event was attended by District Social Security Officer Srikant Panigrahi, Panchayat Samiti Chairman Joshada Huika, Vice Chairman Devi Prasad Patnaik, and other officials. The event was successfully conducted by Bissamcuttack Social Security Officer Muna Tadingi and District Education Officer Sarabjit Padhi, while Bissamcuttack released a video thanking all block administrations for their contributions to the successful event.
