Brisbane: The Indian cricket team, touring Australia for a limited-overs series, will be looking to avenge their defeat in the ODI series in the T20 matches. The Indian team, which lost the ODI series 1-2, is currently leading the five-match T20 series 2-1. The fifth and final T20 match will be played in Brisbane. Suryakumar Yadavs team is hoping to win it and return home with a series victory. The first T20 match was abandoned due to rain, but the home team won the second match to take the lead in the series. After that, Australia suffered defeats against Indias excellent bowling attack in Hobart and Gold Coast. On the challenging pitch at Gold Coast, Shubman Gills brilliant batting gave India a good start. However, the team was at 121/2 in 14 overs, and then India lost 4 wickets for 15 runs, putting them in trouble. Axar Patel and Washington Sundar played well, helping the team reach a score of 168/8. Vice-captain Gill, who hadnt scored a half-century in the last 7 matches, showed signs of returning to form with a 46-run knock in this match. Captain Suryakumar got a good start but couldnt convert it into a big score. Tilak Varma is struggling to find his rhythm. He will want to make a comeback with a good performance in the last match. Wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma, who failed in the last two matches in place of Sanju Samson, is expected to perform well. The team has no concerns about the worlds number one T20 batsman, Abhishek Sharma, as he is consistently playing explosive innings. The fast bowling attack led by Jasprit Bumrah and the spin trio of Varun Chakravarthy, Washington Sundar, and Axar Patel have emerged as a major strength and asset for India. On the other hand, Australia was completely vulnerable against spin in the last match. Indias spin trio took 6 wickets in 10 overs. In Travis Heads absence, captain Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, and Tim David failed to make significant scores, preventing the home team from chasing down the target of 168 runs for victory. The absence of star bowler Josh Hazlewood is putting added pressure on Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa. The home team might bring in Mahli Beardman in place of Ben Dwarshuis, who went wicketless in the last match, on Saturday.
