Balangir(PR),On April 9, 2026, a grand celebration of Valor Day was held at the Central Reserve Police Forces 189 Battalion Headquarters in Shantipada, Balangir, under the guidance of Shri Prashant Kumar Sahu, Commandant. This day is celebrated in the memory of brave sons. During the event, Shri Rajesh Kumar Barnela, Assistant Commandant, 189 Battalion, paid homage to the martyrs by laying a wreath at the Martyrs Memorial and took a pledge to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation. The history of the Central Reserve Police Force is filled with stories of sacrifice and valor. Today reminds us that with discipline and courage, we can face even the biggest challenges.
On this occasion, a large number of officers, subordinate officers and soldiers present in 189 Battalion participated and those soldiers were honored who performed their duty with full devotion and bravery.
