Bhubaneswar,(P.R) As a part of its stakeholder engagement initiatives, Utkal Alumina International limited, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries limited of Aditya Birla Group has organized a media get-together on 25th March 2022 at Hotel Bhagirathi Inn Bhawanipatna. Strengthening media relations through formal and informal interactions was the basic purpose of the event.
Senior Journalists, District Correspondence representing different print, electronic and web-media houses have witnessed the event. Mr. Manoj Kumar Behera, DIPRO Kalahandi have graced the occasion as distinguished guest.
During the meeting, various impactful community development initiatives being undertaken by Utkal Alumina were presented to the forum by Dr. Lopamudra Priyadarshini, GM, CSR, CR & Sustainability, PR & Communication.
An atmosphere of cordialness persisted during the meeting with some insightful feedback and suggestions sought from media friends.
In his deliberations. Mr. Manoj Kumar Behera, DIPRO Kalahandi applauded the effort of Utkal Alumina and urged to invite media friends to various occasions and programs of the company.

Through project UANAT, UDYAMEE and SUGANDHA the company is promoting the livelihoods of the people at Thuamul Rampur block while doorstep health services were being provided through MHU (Mobile Health Unit). Need based infrastructure were being constructed in the peripheral villages.
In coming days the company aims to increase the literacy rate of the block by providing quality education to the remote villages of Thuamul Rampur block as well as it would run a focused women empowerment project through SHG strengthening program as summarized by Dr. Lopamudra Priyadarshini.

As a responsible corporate citizen, UAIL is deeply engaged in executing its CSR activities in peripheral villages in the area of education, healthcare, sustainable livelihood, and rural infrastructure and addressing the issues of social concern, overall UAIL is engaged in 84 villages serving more than 30,000 populations in Odisha.
